Dr. Elsheba Mathew,
Centre Convenor, Faculty, Epidemiologist, Secretary- Research Committee, Dept. of Community Medicine, PIMS & RC, Kerala
Dr. Elsheba Mathew is a postgraduate in Community Medicine from Christian Medical College, Vellore, and Behavioral Medicine and Rehabilitation from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala. In addition she has completed a PG Diploma in Health Profession Education from Gulf Medical University, Ajman.
She has more than 30 years of teaching experience at universities and medical institutions; has been into research for several years and has guided research at Masters and Doctoral level. She has been a reviewer for scientific journals and have served on editorial board for
three. She has more than 40 publications to her credit and have made presentations at regional and international conferences.
She is currently faculty in Dept. of Community Medicine at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. Her areas of interest are geriatrics, adolescents and socio-behavioral aspects of health
Dr. Saritha Susan Vargese
Administrative coordinator, Faculty, Dept. of Community Medicine, PIMS & RC, Kerala Doctoral Researcher (Tampere University, Finland)
Dr. Saritha Susan Vargese, is trained as a medical doctor with specialization in Public health Medicine. She is currently a doctoral researcher in Epidemiology at University of Tampere, Finland and faculty in Community Medicine at PIMS&RC. In addition, she has completed Masters in Dementia Studies from University of Stirling, with Common Wealth Commission Scholarship and a post graduate diploma in diabetes management. She has seven years of teaching and research experience in the field.
She is a Scientist at the Pushpagiri Research Centre and has undertaken community-based researches, and has several publications to her credit. She guides research at undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is trained under Campbell Collaboration for systematic review and meta-analysis and is undertaking a review. Her areas of interest are ageing and chronic diseases.
Dr. Sherin Billy Abraham

Dr. Sherin Billy Abraham is currently a faculty in Community Medicine at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre. She is a gold medalist in Community Medicine with more than 5 years of teaching and research experience. Her additional qualifications include MSc. Gerontology (Southampton) with Commonwealth Commission Scholarship and Dean’s List Award for Outstanding Achievement, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics, Healthcare Financing and Policy (PHFI).
She has experience in conducting community based researches, specially mixed methods, with several publications. She is a research guide for postgraduate training and has guided undergraduate students for funded and non-funded research. Her areas of research interest include ageing research and the use of qualitative research methods.
Dr. Denny John

Dr. Denny is a trained physical therapist with higher qualifications in healthcare management and public health. His research interests are evidence synthesis, health technology assessment, health financing in developing countries, mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, and implementation research. His work in evidence synthesis involves integrating economic evidence within systematic reviews, but he also has experience of working on other review types, such as prevalence/incidence, effectiveness, risk/protective factors, and barriers/facilitators, including evidence summary, policy briefs, and evidence and gap maps. He has deep interest in building capacity of researchers, practitioners and policy makers on the conduct and use of evidence synthesis methods and products, and has conducted several workshops in India, Nepal, and Ghana.
He is a Review Advisor, WHO Snakebite Envenoming Working Group; Advisory Member, Disability Coordinating Group, Campbell Collaboration; and Co-Chair, Early Career Network, Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi). He is an Associate Editor with Cost Effectiveness and Resource Allocation, International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC), and BMC Public Health journals
Ms. Nisha Kurian

Nisha Kurian is a faculty of biostatistics in PIMS & RC, with more than 25 years of experience in medical and public health fields in several institutions across the country, and national and international projects.
She has additional training in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, India, and R statistics. She is currently being trained in Meta-analysis using R statistics. She is trained under Campbell Collaboration for systematic review and meta-analysis and is involved in a review. She is involved in public health research and guides both undergraduate and postgraduate researches in medical, dental and nursing. She has several publications to her credit. She serves as the secretary to the Ethics Committee in the Pushpagiri Medical College
Dr. Vikram Gowda
Vice Principal & Associate Professor, of Physiology, PIMS&RC, Kerala
Dr. Vikram Gowda is a medical postgraduate specialised in Physiology, 10 years of teaching experience and five years of clinical experience. He has completed the Advance Course in Medical Education under MCI India, and is a faculty for Medical Education Training for medical teachers. He is a member of the Institute Animal Ethics Committee, the Institutional Review Board, and the International Forum of Teachers (IFT) of the UNESCO Chair in Bioethics. He is currently Associate Professor at Pushpagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre and holds the administrative post of Vice-Principal (UG Academics & Administration). He has co-authored several original research articles and contributed a chapter to a book published for nursing education. He has presented research papers in national/ international conferences. His area of interest is physiological aspects of clinical and physiological conditions.
Dr. Liya Roslin Joseph
Associate Professor, of Pharmacology, PIMS&RC, Kerala
Dr. Liya Roslin Joseph, is a faculty of Department of Pharmacology, PIMS & RC. She has completed her post graduation in Pharmacology from Govt. medical college, Thiruvananthapuram and she has been worked as a faculty of Govt.TD medical college, Alappuzha.
She has more than six years of teaching and research experience in the field of clinical pharmacology. She has been working as a liaison officer for coordinating research activities. She is a member of Institutional Review Board and also a registered guide for post graduate thesis programme.
She also has experience in ADR monitoring, causality assessment and reporting under Pharmacovigilance programme of India. Her areas of interest are Evidence based medicine and Pharmacoepidemiology
Dr. Sunu Alice Cherian
Lecturer, Dept. of Periodontics, Pushpagiri Dental College
Dr. Sunu Alice Cherian, graduated as a bachelor in dental surgery in 1997. She joined Pushpagiri College of Dental Sciences, Tiruvalla, Kerala, India in 2013 as a lecturer. Currently, she is working in the Department of Periodontics. I am also the research project coordinator at the same institute. She has done short courses on clinical research, scientific writing, theology, bioethics and medical transcription. Her main interests include research and bioethics
Sr. Sereena CMC

Sr Serena CMC, working in Pushpagiri College of Nursing, Tiruvalla as
Assistant Professor, in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing. I
completed MSc Nursing from St John’s College of Nursing, bangalore. Presently I am doing MPhil in Nursing under Manipal University and also attending a certificate program in Guidance and Counselling of Young Adults (CYAGC) under KUHS. I have been resource person for National as well as State level workshop and also working as a research guide for both UG and PG students.
Mr. Prince Paul
Librarian, PIMS & RC, Kerala
Prince Paul is an assistant librarian in PIMS&RC and he has 3+ years of experience in the field of library and information science. He holds a Master’s degree in library and information science, a bachelor’s degree in BSc Zoology and a PGDCA. He is specialized in clinical information, literature search, library automation networking, digitation, academic & special library system. He has attended more than 20 seminars, workshops and conferences in LIS. He is a life member of KLA&ALA.
